Configuration

The camera series VarioCAM® hr head, based on an uncooled microbolometer FPA detector with (384 x 288) or (640 x 480) pixels, has been especially designed for PC use. The versions available allow an optimal adjustment of VarioCAM® hr head to the various measurement tasks. The performance range includes automatic recognition and indication of threshold values via RS 232 up to digital 50/60 Hz, real-time IR data acquisition via IEEE 1394 and online processing on PC. VarioCAM® hr head is recommended for use in R&D applications due to its wide standard temperature measurement range, available lenses as well as a wide range of accessories and high speed digital IR data acquisition and analyzing software. The easy-to-handle thermographic system can be customized for monitoring tasks that require continuous and automatic operation.

Industrial applications

Due to its robust metal housing (IP65), the VarioCAM® hr head is ideally suited for industrial operations. It can be installed easily and cost-efficiently into any manufacturing processes. The handy size of (133x91x110)mm and the low weight of 1.3 kg help to mount the camera easily.

Software

The software family IRBIS® 3 adapted for Windows 98/NT/2000/XP, is a powerful tool for thermographic measurement evaluations. The software, developed by InfraTec, is available in various versions in line with the industrial applications including routines for both on-line and off-line analysis. Both, IRBIS® 3 plus and IRBIS® 3 professional feature extensive capabilities to evaluate and document stored sequences of thermal images. The software tools IRBIS® 3 online and IRBIS® 3 control are available for real-time data transfer via the optional FireWire (IEEE 1394) interface using Windows 2000/XP.
